As the Visual Lead for Huawei’s fourth-generation foldable, Pura X, I managed the visual execution across default software themes, including lock screens, home screens, and AOD as well as the launch conference and marketing campaigns.
To improve design efficiency, I shifted our process away from standard 3D modeling and manual post-processing. I took CMF design concepts from our Paris Aesthetics Research Institute and turned them into digital interactions. Working with front-end engineers, I defined the visual logic and tested interaction prototypes through multiple rounds to ensure the graphics responded smoothly as the screen unfolded.
Across nine themes for standard and Art editions, this engineering partnership allowed us to edit visual details in real time and cut production timelines. The code-based interactions built for this project were saved into a shared library, giving our design team assets they can reuse in future products.
